Say What?

From the Daily Mail online: Depression is good for you.

Yes, it's the Daily Mail, but.... Maybe they really mean "an occasional case of the blues."

Wait. They don't.

Quote:
Paul Keedwell, a psychiatrist at Cardiff University, says even full-blown depression may save us from the effects of long-term stress.

  1. Thats an interesting idea. I remember hearing that people who have recovered from depression are better at handling difficult life events. But the whole idea of depression being good for you, is, is well rather unsettling. Hannah X

  2. I'm curious as to how this managed to get published in the Mail without involving immigration, Princess Diana, house prices, or a an additive that's supposed to cause cancer.

  3. Seems like a load of crap to me. Yes my depression is just great, will really make me able to deal well with issues in my life, it doesn't cripple me emotionally or mess everything up at all!
