I have to confess - I love The Daily Mail and read it online. What my friends who despair of me don't understand is that I read it critically and I'd far rather be someone who reads the DM critically than someone who reads a more liberal paper unthinkingly. (I also read the BBC News and The Guardian.)Sometimes its endless fearmongering gets me down but generally I love its morally outraged tone when really it's just reporting gossip. It makes me laugh. The DM is my guilty pleasure.
